Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tbsp olive oil or butter

2 cups mushrooms, sliced (white button or cremini work well)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream (or half and half)

½ cup chicken broth

¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp dried thyme (or 1 tbsp fresh)

1 tsp onion powder

Optional: chopped parsley or fresh thyme, for garnish

Instructions
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Sear the Chicken
Season the chicken with salt and pepper. In a large oven-safe skillet or pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken on both sides until golden (about 3–4 minutes per side). Set aside.

Sauté the Mushrooms
